Well done wasted time on day five!  Skiing sounds like a wonderful way to celebrate!  Glad to hear that you are experiencing some positives.  That learning to sleep without alcohol is big but certainly it becomes a much more renewing sleep.
Great to hear from you.  Keep posting!

For anyone who read my previous post (So far not so good) I thought it would be good to give an update.  Today is day five of my quit and I am feeling much, much better.  The first few days were a bit tough but in such a short period of time, my energy levels are already improving, heartburn is all but gone and I am learning to sleep without alcohol and waking up feeling refreshed.

Today I'm going skiing with my family and will actually be able to enjoy it because I'm not hungover.

If you are someone who is considering giving up alcohol or moderating, believe me when I say it's well worth the effort.  I know that first step is scary and it's hard to imagine life without alcohol but from my experience, it can only change your life for the better.

To those who have been there to offer a word of support, thank you so very much for your time and your kind words.
