Dave848, that sounds great. You have a very insightful and positive attitude, so I think the book idea would help a lot of people. Mcaodha, I am very interested in mindfulness, and shall look into it a little more I think. Thanks guys.

Hi Mouse,

Great plan on the book. I've been writing a book documenting what I'm learning about this whole process. Not sure whatI will do with my notes but it really helps. I found my creativity asserted itself with a vengeance when I quit. I've taken some painting and drawing classes and plan to continue. Working out and nutrition are in tat mix too. The world is filled with possibilities when you're not mired in a hangover and unmotivated!

Cheers

Hi Mouse, I did a couple of courses that I was always interested in doing, but had not energy or inclination when I was drinking, one course I did was on Mindfulness which I have found very good to help me when I am tired, stressed, anxious or tempted. Ashley one of the educators has a tread on this if your interested. good luck with the book would love to be able to do the same but dont know where to start

Hi all, I'm feeling more positive today. Am formulating a plan of how to fill my time on weekends (Which are my main trigger). I have been telling myself that I'm going to write a book for years, so I think I'll make a start and see where it takes me. Has anyone else started any new hobbies to fill their time?
