Do you have a problematic relationship with alcohol? Want to change it? In the coming weeks we will be giving you tips & tricks to do just that!

How to Set Your Goals
Every journey begins with a simple step, and living a healthy lifestyle simply beings with setting your goals!
Some people have a really hard time getting started. The best way to get started is to write down and begin to picture where you want to go and how you’ll get there.

List Your Goals
Start by making a list of the general goals you have in a variety of areas. In fact, try to generate a list of 5-10 general goals. Begin your goals with an “I” statement. For example, some goals may be:
•    I want to cut down on my alcohol intake.
•    I want to exercise regularly and try some of the relaxation exercises outlined in this program.
•    I like to be more social with my partner or friends.
•    I want to develop a new hobby
•    I want to be a good mom/dad to my kids and take them to the movies instead of going to the bar.
•    I want to add a leisure activity to my weekend.

After you’ve listed your general goals at the bottom of the page, take some time to think about how important each goal is. Come back to this exercise and re-write your list so your most important goal is placed at the top of your list and your least important is at the bottom.

This will make it easier for you to see the goals that have the highest priority for you. As you make progress on each goal you can update your list. When you’re meeting your top goals, move them off the list and add new goals at the bottom.
