Yay Geri.....it will be day three for me too!  It feels good doesn't it?  I pledge to stay sober today and succeed at three days of abstinence.  Hang tough, we're all here to help each other.

Go Geri! Woo hoo! Glad you're here. I know it can be hard to hear "you have a problem" but if you were bleeding out your ears and didn't realize it, you'd probably be happy if someone told you so you could go to the hospital, right? I don't know if thinking about it that way helps or not, just an idea.

I pledge to be sober with you guys again today!

This is day 3 for me - no alcohol.  Every day I thank God for being sober.  I am still experiencing guilt at having someone tell me I have a problem, but it's a blessing because it brought me here.  The challenge I will face will be in the weeks ahead, but coming here is my refuge.  I read the other posts and it gives me courage to continue.

Good morning AHC.
My goal is to abstain from alcohol again today.

I extend my hand out to other members, in the hopes that they will grab hold of it, and that as one we can pull together, becoming stronger, helping each other to fulfill our hopes and desires to recover from our alcohol abuse.

Be well,
David.

God,
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change,
Courage to change the things I can,
And wisdom to know the difference.
