Hey Splitimage,
Have you thought of finding a competent sponsor and start working the 12 steps of AA and have a spiritual awakening? You see that is the message of AA, not just going to meetings. Please let us know if you have trouble finding a sponsor in your area.

Regards

Hi everyone,

I relapsed at just over 3 months and drank for a couple of weeks.   Finally came to my senses and stopped.   Today is my 6'th day sober.    I'm currently in an outpatient day hospital program for depression and anxiety.   I'm not entirely happy about being there, but it was either that or agree to go inpatient.     The one really good thing about the day hospital though, is that I've been able to have one on one meetings with the hospital's addictions specialist who is amazing.    He is recommending further formal addiction treatment for me at a women's only rehab that specifically addresses trauma.    I'm thinking it might be a good thing to do, although it would screw up my plans around job search and hopefully starting a job.   So I'm feeling very torn.    I'm feeling very emotional and weepy, which I know is normal for me in early recovery.   But I also know that drinking is not going to make anything better.   So I'm starting over and am glad to have survived my last relapse.
