Haha thank you hors controle! I feel like I am more productive and motivated when I name my goals and pursuits "mission". I've had several missions and thus far mission lemonade has been quite the success! My get together was great and alcohol-free!

Awww hors controle, it sounds like your daughter is really supportive of your decision here. It is obvious that she really cares and wants you to do what is best for you. Use this as motivation and keep strong!
Another happy weekend to put under the belt! How is this one going for you?
I am going to a "get together" tonight, at this point I feel more confident about my ability to ward of temptations. Feeling really good about it.... mission lemonade continues..
the weekend was good but cold. We went to my boyfriend's mother for mother day and I think he felt a little akward to see me refuse to drink and maybe having surprise look from his relative because I usually don' refuse to drink. So I had 2 glass of wine with dinner and refuse all the rest. I was happy it did not trigger anything else. And today I was fine.
I keep the fridge full of non-alcoholic drink and my daughter told me today that if she ever sees a bottle of wine here and no company to share the bottle, she will be more than happy to pour it down the sink. I told her I was OK with it and it will help me to know that she cares.
Mission lemonade has officially begun! It was pretty cool this weekend so the temptation from BBQ's etc. was not there for me luckily. But I am implementing mission lemonade now to prepare for those summer months. The sun does bring back those summer memories, but you know what I feel like this summer is time for new memories, new adventures!
Hi Ray, nice to hear from you. I don't have anything favorite to cook. I just like to try new stuff from around the world.
It is a great idea to carry lemonade crystal. "Crystal Light" has those small individual package now that make 2 cups of drink and they are so small you can put them in your pocket. I should do this too.
Things are getting easier now but just to feel the sun brings back memories.lol.
That is awesome! That you can take next to "nothing" and whip up a nice meal. That has happened to me a few times and I felt quite proud actually! What is your favourite thing to cook?
I have been thinking about how the summer is going to go.. this will be my first summer without alcohol in the past few years. The BBQs (which I ADORE) and get togethers will be a challenge at first I am sure of it. I think I will always make sure to bring lemonade with me so at least I'll have something tasty to drink. I think I will actually carry lemonade crystals on hand to make lemonade at any time any place.
I love cooking, anything. And I think I'm pretty good at it. People are always impressed about how I can cook a very nice meal while they think they have nothing to cook with in their fridge.lol.
I guess the occasion like Easter, family reunion, etc is when we have to be extra careful, especially with summer coming and BBQ cooking.
I am really glad to hear that the weekend went fine. Do you do a lot of cooking? What types of things do you cook? You really deserve to feel rested, you really do.
My weekend was great, I find that it does get easier with each weekend. I have been doing well since my near slip at easter... Happy about that...
Thanks for asking. Weekend went fine. I kept busy reading, cooking ( at the different time than wine time,lol) and reminding myself that I was feeling good, that I am beginning to feel rested after all those years.
