rcguy, i sure hope you can get the help you need i'm sure it can be nothing but a positive. It's tough isn't it, i've done well with the alcohol haven't had any since christmas which is great but i've just switched over to other unhealthy problems it's hard to say what the problem is whether its a weak mind a weak heart, but i know its something i've struggled with my whole life. Anyways take advantage of where your going and have faith they will help you figure out the core problem. Be very proud of yourself for accepting the help that's a huge step and remember everyone here will be rooting for you.

Hi everyone; Coco,Miacoda,Brenna, and sweetheart-nicole. I've read this post over and over and to me it is an unforgetable experiance. thanks for all you're input and help. I'm not used to this. Yes, I had a bad relapse, and the depression returned, but thanks to what i've learned here, at AHC I was able to turn it around. Most of all thanks for all the kind and caring words. To update, I got into a group therapy for concourant-dissorders, which means addiction and mental-health issues at the same time' Soon it was obvious that I need to go to a treatment centre. My case worker suggested Homewood Health Centre, and fortunately my health insurance will cover the cost. So next week i'm going. If the AHC support team has no objection, I would like to post updates from from the treatment centre. I wish i could say that i feel confident that this is going to make a big differance. but i have been dissapointed too many times. Right now i am into a bad relapse. 10 to 15 drinks per day. (wow) I am sure this is bad in many ways, hope this is my last binge. Thanx for being there........rcguy

Hi RCguy, My heart goes out to you. You can do it. I know you can. I have faith in you and hopefully you have faith in yourself. Keep those positive thoughts coming. Positive thoughts bring positive action. I know I have to remind myself of that many times, but I keep trying and it does work. Peace and take care, Coco (Beni)

Hi friends; So sorry for the negative post, it's just that i tried so hard and felt so optomistic only to relapse. When i knew i was out of control in December, i decided to go back to detox. It was the first time away from my family on new-years-eve and it was hard for me, but i thought it was worth it because it was going to make a good example to them. When it was time to go back to work, the stress and anxiety got to me and sorry to say i relapsed. I'm so angry with my self that at times i want to hide someware and cry. Thankyou for letting me post here. This is my only way to vent now since when working i can't go to any groups until the week-end. good weekend to you all.....rcguy

Hey Rcguy! I've seen you over at the depression place! Look, we all have bad days, but we have to focus on it. And yes I know its easier said than done, believe me I do! I had a rough time yesterday. I felt like everything was crashing down upon me, no matter what I did. So I do understand you. I as you are dealing with relationship issues, mine walked out! Couldn't deal with my drinking and my depression...maybe it took just that to make me realize really what was going on with me. Try to look at each day as a learning experience, another mountain to climb and get over, no matter how tired, and dragged out you feel, just think at how these mountains are getting smaller each time you climb it. Look back on what you have accomplished, Im sure you'll see a difference, and an improvement. Hang on, cause Im on the same rollercoaster as you! :)

Rcguy, What has caused such a change of heart? We all have good days and bad days. If you find that your bad days are out-numbering your good days we recommend going to talk to a doctor about some treatment options. We also have a sister site www.depressioncenter.net that you can take a look at. In the mean time, try to plan some activities that you enjoy and treat yourself to something special. rcguy, i was very sad to here your message, i do understand your mindset i've been on and off my whole life it's hard to find the reasons why some people just enjoy life and some find it so difficult just to survive. I've soul searched my own for as long as i can remember and have never come up with anything cut or dry. I keep trying cause i want what all those carefree happy people have, we all can have that if we forgive ourselves and let go of past resentments. Easier said than done i know, but hang in there and it will get better everyday can be a new start. I wish there was something i could say to really make you feel better, just know that your not alone. I really hope you have a better day.

After a ton of reflecting, analizing, soul-searching, information meetings, meditating, detox treatments, prayer, pychological medicines, I have come to realize, when your life sucks, (relationships, job, health, lack of control, and no positives to look forword to) you still have to live your life. Thats all I've got so I can only be comforted by the fact that it's 80% over, and there's not much left to endure. I drink and I stop drinking, and start over again, but it is just to fill in time without much meaning. Sorry to no be much help in this forum.......rcguy
