Chambs, That was a good reflection - reading a lot of articles of smoking. Maybe its a trigger for you? Did the change up avoidance help?

Last week, I watched the movie Green Book and there was A LOT of smoking in that movie. made me want one.

I have noticed a lot of positive changes. My skin is clearer. My workouts are better. Everything is so much better except for the smoking thoughts. They are so tiring! I find i go on a lot of support chats and read a lot of articles on smoking, so maybe i should try to do that less and that might help.

Welcome Chambs,

Congratulations on over two months of being smoke free! Have you noticed any positive changes so far?

Always thinking about smoking is very common, even months after quitting. You may find it helpful to switch up your routine. Smoking likely was a very big part of your day. How can you replace those smoking times with something more positive? You are missing the addictive substances; but you are also missing the behaviour. For example, you may have had a cigarette with your morning coffee. Could you have morning tea and some mindfulness instead? You may have used cigarettes to take a break at work. Instead of smoking with a friend could you go for a walk with a friend? Finding alternative behaviour patterns may help you to feel like you are not missing out - but gaining something.

Keep us updated on how you are doing. You are not in this alone,

Ashley

Chambs this is normal and it will go away. I have been quit for 11 years and i will on occasion still get an urge. These will be short lived and get weaker as you continue with your quit. Just don't give up. What worked for me was this forum and support of other quitters. Just say to yourself N.O.P.E. NOT ONE PUFF EVER

Good luck

Kaiser

I quit 2 months, 1 week and 4 days ago but i still think about smoking all the time. Not a thought that i want a cigarette but i am always thinking about smoking. It's really hard to explain. When does this start to go away? I feel mentally exhausted all the time :(
