Hi Healthyandclean,
Welcome to the Stop Smoking Center website. How was your first day? Are you quitting cold turkey or are you using nicotine replacement therapy? You have quit before for over a decade and then you started smoking again? I'm sorry to hear that. Do you know why you started up again? Do you think you can avoid the same issue this time?
Since you've quit before, you pretty much know what lays ahead for you. I wish you the best on this journey Cammi.
Stay strong.

Hi there. Im so glad you decided not to go buy a pack. I tormentad myself so much with giving in to cravings then having to start all over again. I was so unhappy smoking so l knew l had to do it eventually so giving in like l did just wasnt worth it. Youre definitely in the hardest days so hang in there....it will get easier. What day are you on? Are you using nicotine replacement? I can so relate to the eating. Ive wound down a bit now but intense mints are still helpful as the strong mint hit takes my mind off smoking. Im also using the nicotine spray to help with cravings.  Great to hear youre still ploughing through. Keep it up one day at a time

hi sparrow, thanks for replying. wow -- you're on day 27. congratulations. it should be pretty smooth sailing from now on i would think. how's your quit going?

i had a couple of strong cravings where i was just about to go buy a pack, then i remembered that i quit last night, so i just didn't go. wasn't really a biggie. i definitely ate a little more than usual today though. lol

i'd love it if you feel like checking in for a bit and share how it's going. great to meet you :)

I woke up this morning with nothing to smoke in the house; garbage is outside so I couldn't go scrounging in it for butts later if i get desperate. lol

My last quit was for 21 days and then I started again. Been smoking 41 years (damn!) overall - probably a pack a day+ when i was younger, quit for almost a decade, and here i am again.

I'm in my first day and at about 14 hours smoke free.  I have an exercise/health routine buddy and it makes a big difference in holding one another accountable and getting through the challenges together. I thought maybe someone would want to maybe be quit buddies as well. :)
