6th day in probably my hardest day, first time driving and spending time with the kids, without smoking bit got to maintain that goal of replacing all the cigarette money by buying crypto and having a better life for it.

Yes lm with you. Great to hear yoire doing so well in your first few days. Dont worry about those butts...thats usually the case...scrounging around for the leftover butts at the start of a quit. I actually blew my quit so lm going to wait until the weekends over...its easier for me to start on a monday. This monday is my quit date. Hang in there...get over the hill of the first few days and past those withdrawals...youre doing wonderfully. I understand the feeling of missing the ritual. I always feel like lm missing something very vital to my day when l quit...it makes me super depressed....thats why l keep failing but l feel like one of these days my quit will stick. I can only hope. Keep me posted.

hey sparrow, i just happened to log on here today and it looks like you were planning on quitting today. if you still want a buddy, let's do it.

i smoked for 30 years, quit for 8 years, and after bumming one or two here and there, i've now been smoking again for over 2 years. i don't even like to smoke. there's something about the ritual to which i'm addicted. so i actually woke up christmas eve coughing and then yesterday i woke up and  barely had a voice. so i'm done. saved a few butts yesterday for a couple of puffs. and i'm just about hitting 24 hours now with no smokes. bought a bag of jolly ranchers. and just made a cup of coffee. so this is probably my strongest time to want a cigarette. that's why i logged on here to distract myself. so that's my story. if you're still  wanting to quit, i'd love to have a partner :)

Hi BlueBird09,
Welcome to the stop smoking center. How was your first day as a quitter this time? Sorry to hear about your one year quit that failed due to drinking. Alcohol lets you drop your guard and leaves you vulnerable to that nasty NicoDemon. I hope you are going  try and avoid it like you said. Does your brother smoke in the house or does he go outside?
I wish you the best on this journey. Be sure and keep your guard up at ALL times!.
Stay strong.

It does come way too quick! I'm glad you agree, and staying ciggy free is hard when you're having a drink with mates and they offer one, I started smoking again the same way. I'm going to have to avoid drinking again. I understand though, I live with my brother and he smokes too. It makes it so much harder. If you want to that would be great I don't want to put my number on here tho, so private message me? Good luck too!

The quit date comes to quickly. To true. I gave up months ago but started smoking again. I had been not drinking but had a couple and was offered a cigarette and that started me smoking again. At 11am this morning I ran out of fags but I had the patch's and. Mouth spray from the last attempt. As it was rainy I didn't want to go out. So patch on and and a hit of spray. Been 11 hours now and I feel fine. If you want somebody to quit with I'm willing. The problem I've got is my house mate smokes. Temptation all around! Good luck with your quit.

So my quit date approached very quickly, I'm going to be honest, I have previously successfully quit for an entire year. I managed to stay smoke free until one stupid day at a party, where I undone all the hard work I did. I was wondering if anyone would possibly want to join forces with this quitting thing? We could exchange numbers or talk somehow and just support each other in this fight to nicotine. I plan to quit tomorrow. Although if your quit date is a little further away then you could support me now and I will do the same when your date approaches. I can't do this alone, and I don't want to do this alone either. I don't think many of us do want to do this alone. If you're interested then let me know, I hope to hear from somebody.
