Hi, I have just joined stop smoking center - I have just stopped smoking i.e. stopped on 29th June 2017 therefore just about done 5 weeks. I have been smoking for 50 years 35 cigs a day which is some going and I have managed to stop. It is not the easiest thing in the world, but it is possible. I definitely feel a lot better for stopping and in fact in the first week felt a lot of benefit e.g. no longer coughing at night and bringing up as much phlem. I know it has to come out as there is a lot of rubbish inside after smoking for so long and so many. I have saved an awful lot of money and feel a lot better for the stop. I am using nrt gum/ ordinary gum inhalator. I did use vaping on occasions but think it makes this harder i.e. phlem is coming back when i use them. I hope you manage to stop, you need to change your routine i.e. triggers of where and when you smoke and keep busy, walk, drink plenty of cold water, do puzzles, knit, painting anything to occupy your mind when it roams onto telling you you want a smoke. Dont let it dictate to you ever. You are in charge, not the smoking goblin. Let me know how you are going on
