That's a GREAT success story, Penitent! I'm glad that you stick around to share it with us new quitters. Congratulations and I'll have my eyes out on the 18th for your celebration post.

14 days and counting. Apologies for a bit of self-indulgence but the 18th is just around the corner.

As I sit here now I can easily remember those most difficult, early days in May 2004 when I wanted to quit so badly but just didn't know how. I'd tried so many times before and failed. I'd agonised and I'd tried, I snatched one sadly here and there in the midst of a quit and I failed. I failed each and every time and I feared that I was destined to smoke myself into an early grave. That early part of May 2004 was no different but by the 18th I was tired and desperate and I needed something extra to help me. After struggling for 3 days with my latest quit, I Googled "Stop Smoking". Things changed almost as soon as I discovered this site. That something extra had arrived. At that time, I could never have imagined 10 years hence and still smoke free, but here I am, rapidly approaching that day. I shall enjoy the next two weeks. 10 years. Wow!
