Hi Daisy,
Welcome! Glad you decided to quit..Congrats..
It is hard in the beginning but remember it will get easier.
The longer you say no the easier it gets.

Just take it easy for now and pamper yourself a lot, your body is healing.

Hi

Its early days and have been thinking of smoking already but really want to give up this time,  when you smoke on Champix it taste horrible it makes me feel like I am going to be sick and you do not get the hit you use to,  which is what has been happening to me in the last 3 days, so that does come to mind when I want one.

Sounds like you have some good strategies and you are ready for this.

Crying is actually a normal reaction. Quitting is really hard in so many ways! How are you feeling now? Just as emotional? Or how is this time different?

Hi
last time I quite I went cold turkey it was really hard and I remember crying on the door step.  I got really sick with Asthma so could not smoke,  I was so happy when I gave up.  I thought I could go for a bike ride which I have not been doing because of smoking and do other exercise when I get better, reading others peoples strategies ride it through, drink water and focus on the future of being a non smoker.

Welcome Daisyf!

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. It's hard to take this big fight on when you are not feeling well. But many people quit when they are sick as smoking can make you feel worse when sick. So this is a good a time as any other.

It sounds like you have prepared you mind to fully take this quit on. Read through the program to keep preparing. Do you have any strategies in mind that you used when you quit successfully last time?

Hi I have decided to stop smoking today,  I am using Champix which I have been on since 11/08/13 this has taken away the feeling to want to smoke however I am also sick with a head cold so feel horrible with that.  I started smoke when I was 13 years old trying to be cool with the kids at school.  I gave up when I was 30 years old for 14 years.  I then started smoking again last years because off stress (Earthquakes).  I have lung damage from Asthma and smoking in the past but I was told if I quite now I will still have good quauitly of life.  Anyway I do feel positive at the moment and am glad I found this site.  It is great to read others peoples jourenys very encouraging  Thanks everyone
