Coping

You are one strong lady, Sparky!  And I know you keep soooo busy, which really helps.  One small step at a time and you're ahead of the game.  Deep breathing and water...really helps, and I use that for trying to stay with my healthy eating.  Such a great coping tool.  You're hanging in there nicely!!!

I'm glad that you're hanging in there, Sparky. It does get easier as time goes on. And it's so much easier to resist that temporary urge than it is to have to start quitting all over again, right?

Hey Sparky!!!

Got the blahs going, huh?  That's OK!  You know that they are gonna pop up every now and then!  That's when you reach out to all of your friends and family to get the support you need to kick that demon's butt another day!  The boards are slow... especially slow right now.  Maybe we can get this place livened up a bit!

Stay busy and keep on telling yourself that you are a non-smoker now!  Knowing what you know, I am a true believer that you will remain a non-smoker!

Hang in there, Husker-buddy!  You're doing great!

Sparky, We have quite a lot in common. Staying focused and achieving things can be difficult somedays. However, it's amazing just what we can do when we really try. I'm still working one day at a time, and its great to see just how they are mounting up. Keep it up, we're together in this. Viv

I haven't posted to much in the last few days because I have been really busy doing things around the house and I just didn't know what to say.  In AA we have a saying "stinking thinking" and I have had a lot of that lately.  I don't know when I went from saying "I am a nonsmoker" to thinking I want a cigarette and know that I don't.

I just trying to make it one day at a time.  My thoughts are all over the place and my desire to do things are there too.  I just want to stay focused on what is needed to be done in a Good Orderly Direction (GOD).  Quitting smoking and going though the grieving process is interesting to say the least. I know what and how to do it I just need to put the action into it.

Just want to let you know I am okay and I am NOT smoking.

Keep the Quit
Sparky
