You know I don't think that you are weak...You are in an addiction cycle.  We must look outside of the cycle in order to see how strong you truly are.  Sometimes it is about vision and immagination, use those two things and you will find yourself looking back at that cycle and realizing all the while what real strength is...

Hi Brent!!
I know you can do this.... Keep it going, ice water and popsicles at hand, and relaxing music; a reward system  for each day or week withou a cigarrete.  I usu to have a mental picture of my favorite landscape or place on earth and I would go there whenever Nicodemon attacked; deep breathing, kind of yoga breathing helped me a lot too.
Keep kicking ash!

Brent, hope your day is going well.  Remember you are not alone in this quit.  Renewing your quit in the morning or whatever time of day is a great idea!!  Hope you are feeling better by now.  I too have a nasty cold.  Good thing we quit .

Looks like you've already racked up 12 of those bad boys. Keep on taking them one at a time. We're rooting for you.

Woke up this morning and told myself that I am not going to smoke today. I'd forgotten how difficult it is when you don't take it one day at a time. Brent

Hi Brent,

Hiking the Lake District next month is some wonderful motivation to stay quit!  Stay strong - we're cheering you on!

Hey Brent!!!

Nothing like a good cold to kick start a great quit!  Keep the ice water handy, along with a cough drop or two!  You CAN do this, buddy!

Hi folks, really coughing at the moment. It's all the rubbish coming up on top of a heavy cold. It's good really as it reminds me of the damage done so far. I have a target of staying quit so that I can go walking in the Lake District on the 10th May with some friends. I wouldn't make it up the first hill at the moment. By the way, the 1 per cigarette figure on the quit meter is because I was smoking cigars. Once again, thanks for the support. Brent
