Hi, Dave.  Why don't you post your own introduction and say a little bit more so we can get to know you.  I think it's great that you are preparing already for your quit date.  If you post your own introduction, I will respond more to what you have in mind.

Hi. My name is Dave. I've smoked for far to long and way to much. I have just signed up for this program and would like to keep in touch with others that are going to or have recently quit. My target date is September 1st. Anyone out there want to keep track of each other?

Congratulations!  Do you realize you've saved almost $500?  What are you going to do to celebrate with that money?

I found going through the program was helpful to me.  You may not like that sort of thing, but there's some stuff that is interesting.  I liked the Customized Reward Plan.  You set up little rewards for everyday, every week, at a month, then at 6 months.  I printed it out and put it where I can see it.  It's really simple but it helped me.  It's like having someone remind you to do things that are good for you.  Sometimes I need that outside support to reward myself with simple things.

Good luck.  You're doing great.

Hey Kaisube!!!

Welcome to the SSC and congratulation on your success so far!  Take some time to go through the information in the Program!  I'm sure that there will be some bits of wisdom there that will help you on this journey.  It sure helped me!  Post if you need a hand or have questions!  We're here to help and support all of our new quit buddies!

      Way to go!

Welcome Kaisube,

Congratulations on passing the one mark month! You've passed the hardest month.

How does it feel to be one month smoke free? What motivated you to come here last night?

Wow Kaisube,

You have come a long way already.  I hope you've given yourself some pats on the back for your progress so far. If you want, you can set up a quit meter for yourself (make sure you set the date back to your actual quit date) and join the rest of us who keep strutting our stuff in the stats parade.

Welcome to the site. I'm sure that others will join me in welcoming you tomorrow.

Hello Everyone,

I am new at this site. My quit date was June 13. I have been smoke free for 1 month and 6 days now. I am using lozenges. I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would be able to stop but I did. I still have a journey ahead of me. I can now go up to 5 hours without a lozenge without too much trouble. I will beat this addiction.
