I'm hoping by now that you have consumed a wonderful celebration meal and are having a hard time wiping that victory smile off your face!!!  I've been sooo proud of you for jumping right in and kicking that demon's ash from day one!  What a great quitter!!!  Here's to many, many more smoke free days and all of the rewards that go with your most excellent accomplishment!

      Hugs and Cheers!!!

    Cigarettes Not Smoked

11 years ago 0 1080 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Yes its really been four years since I quit smoking and I have never looked back.
I chose my late father's birthday (May 10th) as my quit date, as it was one of his real bug bears that I couldn't quit. Sadly he had died before I decided to take the plunge.
I am forever indebted to SSC and the members that supported me on my quit journey. I have made some great mates on here, and we keep in touch even today.

I was a very lucky quitter, and I know that. However, I say this because there may be smokers out there, who, like me, thought it was going to be a horrendous journey. But I can honestly say I put on my first patch and never ever desired another cigarette again- not once.
It is the best thing I ever did, and my only true regret is that I didn't do it years ago.

So, for anyone on the journey, or thinking about starting the journey, it may not be quite as daunting as you think.
