Hi.  I quit April 8th and it is now 37 smoke free days for me. I am feeling very proud of myself that I haven't slipped.  There are still those hard "moments" but I try to remember that they will pass and I keep telling myself that I must not have one puff ever.  I am enjoying my ability to breathe easier while not worrying about running to the store to get a pack of smokes.  Over the past month I have been through many of the common withdrawal systems including weird dreams, bad taste in month, lack of concentration, weight gain and tummy issues but I seem to be stabilizing now.  I know that with every day that goes by with another smoke free day notch in my belt, the satisification of sticking with the quit makes it so worth it!  Good luck to all of you.  You can do it!
JR..
Welcome and Congrats on your 37 days of staying quit..Thanks for your inspiring post..I especially like the part where you said you like adding another notch on your belt with each day you stay quit and how satisfying staying quit is..This sure rung a bell with me and I think feel the same way..

Good luck to you too...You are doing it..
One day and notch at a time..

Thanks Ashley.  Motivation will be... my desire to look better.   Meaning that I must start to excercise more and keep my smile bright.  Both of these things are hard to do when you are a smoker.

Hi JR,

Congratulations on 37 days and getting through Zombie Month! You have made it through the most difficult month. It sounds like you are coping very well. Great work!

How will you keep yourself motivated when the "honeymoon" period of your quit is over?

Hey Rose,

I'm glad to hear the great news, too!!!  One less stressful thing to think about and one less trigger.  Keep right on repeating that slogan, too!!!  Say it often enough you really WILL believe it!!!  That's how the demon becomes weaker and weaker!  Rose strong, demon weak!
