Hello Spacecas,
Welcome back.  Those cigs sitting on the counter on day 3 of the quit is brutal - guess you need  to regroup and figure what will work for your quit this time.  I found Cold Turkey was hard at the beginning, but much easier for me to stick to it once I'd toughed out the few 10 days or so - no way I wanted to go back to smoking after those 10 days of Cold Turkey HELL (for me anyway!)  So I had much more resolve to stay quit than I did when I knew I could stick a patch on to deal with my cravings.
Still - each person finds a quit plan that works for their needs!  There are many ways to quit - all the posts here testify to that. One thing for sure - reading posts, learning about your triggers and coming here to weather out a craving sure helps! Hope this quit is the one to end all your quits!  Just say NOPE  - one day at a time.  Eyja

Hi and thank you guys...I did indeed stop again on the 20th of this month..today would have been 3 full days..Then unfornately I had some one really make me mad..They was not being supportive at all..They actually was putting me down for some of the things I was doing to help me stop smoking..I let it get to me really bad and instead of coming here or just not smoking I smoked..So here I am again..
I guess it all really was set to fail cause as supportive and loving as the hubby is he had forgot the day I stopped and bought me a pack of cig's and instead of throwing those out they laid on the counter just calling me..I have done this before..I got 8 days the first time..this time only 3...Ok I got to get a grip here and I do realize now the only way to do this is cold turkey cause those dang patch's and lozenges are just feeding me the nicotine that keeps making me want to smoke..
So I am going to take a day or two regroup and try again..Your right breather never stop stopping..I should have stayed here and would have been fine..I know you guys are always here for me no matter what..nice to have you guys be so supportive..

Hi Spacecas  Welcome back. You know what worked for you last time so do the things that worked and stay away from what didn't. Look forward , not back. I already know that you can do it. We've all had practice quits , just don't quit on quitting. Excellent for you. breather

Hi Spacecas,

Welcome back!!  You said it - the important thing is to never stop trying.   We are all here to help you be smoke-free once again.
What helped you quit in the past?  What triggers have you noted and how will you overcome them this time?

Cameless, great attitude!  You are lucky, and we're lucky to have your support on the SSC site.

Welcome back Spacecas!
As you know there's lots of us who have been here before. You're right - never quit quitting! If there are two key ingredients for me this time they are preparation and determination! The biggest change is in my attitude. I'm no, "poor me!" I'm" lucky me!"
Stick with the SSC!
You can do this!!!
