Hey Breather, thanks for the positive thoughts as it has give me a lot to think about! I'm glad that your doing well and remaining positive! I like that saying about "One puff is to much and a thousand cartons is never enough", It hits the nail on the head for what nicotine addiction really is.. Remember Breather NOPE! Stay strong mate! P.S I want freedom!!

Cheers

Jamie.

Hello Jamie  I have to say that I'm getting on a lot better than I used to. Although it hasn't been easy at times the benefits have outweighed anything that I've had to go through. I like the fact that I no longer have nicotine stained fingers and teeth to be embarrased about and hardly ever cough anymore. Gradually over time we became dependent and gradually over time we learn how to live without it. View any cravings as a healing process , drown them with ice water and reward yourself for another day won. Remember that one puff is too many and a thousand cartons never enough. Freedom is ours for the taking if we really want it. Yay for you. breather

Jahamin Way to go on 36 days smoke free. Yay for you ! Ice water for the craves and don't forget to reward yourself. Some people stop smoking while they are young enough and before they have all the nasty things happen to them. As we learned how to smoke we have to learn how to live a new way of life if we are to be successful. You're the most important person here. Tell yourself that no matter what happens I won't smoke today. Again , yay for you ! breather

Hey Jahamin,
Those 36- hard earned days are nothing to sneeze at! One thought that has helped me hold on to this "new found freedom" was, if I keep this quit going I won't have to go through all this again. I really had no idea what a slave I was to those cancer sticks until I really quit. Stick with us here. You can do this!
All the best!

Great work!

36 days is awesome! We call the first 30 days Zombie Month. It is the toughest month. What coping strategies have you been using to get through this period?
