One year ago my panic came back with a fury....panic/blackout on a flight from ny to vegas prior to takeoff...was taken off the plane....Im still not well, etc....but decided to spend the one year anniversary of my blackout on Nov 9 by taking a 3 hour flight .....made it but felt sick before , during and after the flight....just goes to prove to me that facing fears is important but you need to find the right medicaction to put the panic into remission, nevertheless, I have flown 4 times in last year....perhaps this will help once my panic goes into remission but for now, constant dizziness, nausea, etc.....still working my corporate job, etc.....rather be in life than waiting to get better no matter how hard each day is....God Bless You All.
I bought front row tickets to my girl friends shakespeare play on saterday its 3 hours long! i can go out and stuff but this thing is a major push its 10x harder then school but i think i can do this
I made plans to attend my daughter's championship volleyball game this evening!!!
How about you other fellow anxiety sufferers--how are you stretching yourself today?
:)
WAY TO GO ALLYC4!!!!!! Sounds like you're learning what I consider to be the most important lesson about panic----"HAVE A POSITIVE ATTITUDE"!! It's really hard somedays and it's easy to want to give in to the anxiety--but coping means working past the fear!
I'm proud of you for a job well done AND good job on rewarding yourself also!!
:) :) :)
Well done Brenda!! That is great!
I havent done anything today but my accomplishment for the week was driving out to K-mart (like walmart in the states) and getting a refund on an item I purchased. The drive was about 4 k's but then refund counter was at the back of the store and I had to line up! I was so proud of myself for doing it that I rewarded myself with a new top that I purchased on the way out. I was feeling so great I could have shopped all day!!!
I am going to make that trip a weekly thing now just to stay on top. Any setbacks I have are just new ways of learing to cope and are essential to recovery.
Hi all,
Today I challenge you to try to do one thing that you haven't done in a long time or feel like (because of the anxiety) you can't do. Take a deep breath and think positively. Stretch yourself and see what happens.
It doesn't have to be a big thing. It could be something small like going to the mailbox. In spite of the fear let's move forward together. Report back to this discussion and let me know what you did and how it felt to accomplish the task.
I'm pulling for you......... and I'm off to a dance this evening with 300 middle school students. I'll let you know how it goes!!
Brenda ;)
