I need help!

I agree with Sparky too!  Follow the directions on the champix.  You want to be prepared for this and not rush into it.  Your little cub won't care whether your quit date is today or next week.  They will just be excited to have a smoke free aunt!

Hello I choose life,

Sparky makes some really great points, you will know what is best for you and what will help you succeed. Stick to the plan that you think will allow you the greatest success and know that we are here for you throughout this whole process! Work through the online program and keep us posted.

You know that little one won't care when you quit just as long as you do.  Follow what they suggest with the meds.  Quitting is hard enough, so take it slow and easy.  If you don't get prepared the quit won't last.  Focus on you for now and soon you will be holding that little one smoke free and smelling great.

You may remember me and my history .  I quit for this person, I quit for this reason, I quit for.............  Bottom line you are preparing and you will quit for you and that little "cub".  Now breathe and move forward.  Congrats on becoming an aunt

Hi Guys,

I had set my quit date to be aligned to the birth of my niece or nephew due on the 19th January. It is my only sisters first child and I thought it would be a great motivator for me to stay quit!! My sis is in hospital now, in labour!! She always was in a rush! Everything is going well and her partner is with her so I'm just waiting for some news and i remembered this pledge I'd made with myself! I've been taking champix for 3 days and they recommend setting your quit date for between 8-14 days. I'm not sure what to do now, I don't feel mentally prepared right  now but am really want to follow through with stopping smoking the day this little cub comes into my world!!

Any suggestions, advice or words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks,

Paula
