Excellent post Sparky, you bring up a really great point of the worth of quitting and as you mentioned it is definitely not worth going back to old ways. I hope that message really hits home for others as well! Continue to post often, stay strong and recognize the value of being quit!

Members, how do you stay motivated to stick with your quit? What coping strategies do you use in moments of weakness or doubt?

Hey There Spark .

I won't say I was worried about you...because I wasn't (you are my quit buddy, no need to worry ).
But I was concerned about you and hubby...good to hear from ya..hope you are having a nice time getting ready for the holidays and not stressing.

"Is it worth it??" that is a good point you have made and I plan on using that question more throughout this duration. Thank You....

I'm with you...I am just not 'watching' the days as much this time... Just taking it all WON day at a time.

Hello Sparky  Look at you ! with 80 days smoke free. Great minds think alike because I was just thinking about your freind a little earlier on and I'm sure that there are plenty of others here that are wondering how she's doing as well. Yay for you not smoking today. Excellent. breather

I haven't posted in awhile and I know that is dangerous for me.  Can't remember who told me sometime back that they notice just before I slip up I withdraw from posting.  Not going to happen today

I don't put as much importance on how many days I have been quit this time around.  When the thought creeps in I ask myself, "is it worth it?"  Of course the answer is NO AND NO!!   I think about a dear friend from this site who is fighting for her life, "is it worth it?  Of course not.  I look at all the people I have met though the years here and look at there stats; they were able to answer the question,"is it worth it?" and move on.  So happy for them all.  I miss the ones that don't come around anymore, they may have found it worth it .

Something has changed this time and I have found it is not worth it, today.  After all that is all I can commit to.  Tomorrow is another day and I will ask myself again "Is it worth it?"  and I will say HELL NO IT IS NOT WORTH IT!!!

Keep the Quit
Sparky
