Hi Ashley, i would say, it is a mind game thing, and you just have to outsmart the demon, Hang tough, no matter what it takes be BIGGER than the craving do not  give in, my quit was very hard and i took one  crave at a time, didn't worry about an hour from now not even a day, i lived in each minute, and get stubborn realize you are in this with yourself no one else but you can do this, know it can be done and it will get done, its hard to explain at what point you know you have it, it just happens, and of cause like i said stay here as much as possible for support, i guess the bottom line is  JUST CANT SMOKE, WHEN YOU QUIT  Tresa

Thank you so much for sharing Tresa!

You an inspiration to all of us and we are so happy to have you at the SSC.  I am sure you have helped many, many people remain smoke free.

If you were to give new quitters one important piece of advice what would it be?

Today is 8 years  of freedom from Cigarettes , i remember my last smoke like it was yesterday, why celebrate after all these years ? Because it is really a big deal and one of the biggest successes in my life :) Why do i still visit SSC ? because without this site and the people   I dont believe i could have made my quit, it was nice for me to know that everyone here was rideing in the same boat I was, the same roller coasters, someone always to pick me up when i thought i was going to loose my quit, I have lots of reasons to celebrate my new life, also iam reminded all year long with a  quit meter on my browser :)  Tresa
