Hi Missmarple,

Thank you for the update, as always it is great to hear from you. Continue to check in when you have the chance. For newer members, what tips do you have for working through the program/milestones? What helped you stick with your quit for this long?

Thought I'd send a little up date, since I rarely get on SSC anymore.  I do come and read sometimes late at night when I can't sleep.  I use FB a lot, only because I can reach family, friends, co-workers, etc... in one forum.  I do think of you all often, since many of you have been instrumental in my quitting since 2006.  I was such a 'needy' quitter-quitting for long stretches and then returning to do it all over again.  I'm not quite so needy these days---ha!  I wake up in the morning thinking about lung cancer and throughout the day I have few distractions.  Funny-that's how I felt about cigarettes whenever I quit!
We (husband, youngest daughter Tori, middle daughter Lacy and granddaughter Alyssa) had a fantastic time in Tampa and Orlando.  Week after next we are going with my eldest (Desi) and other granddaughter (Zoey) to Bowling Green Kentucky to another amusement park.  Then around first of September we are hoping to go to Gatlinburg on a fishing trip with the two boys (Chris and Matt).  There's an amusement park there also, but they'll go to that one without me---I've never much cared for them anyway!
Next week I go for a bone scan.  Been having some pain in my neck and right side again.  Scheduled for a ct scan the end of Aug.  Checking into some clinical trials for relapsed sclc and some alternative therapies.  I don't think I'll do anymore chemo but I'm game for some radiation, since I haven't had any yet.  Still able to get up and around, but take lots of naps.
Sending all my very best wishes.  Happy, successful quitting!
