Hey Steelroots!!!

Congratulations on being smoke-free for one whole month!!!  Keep right on walking as much as you think you need to!  That's one of the coping mechanisms that I used, along with deep breathing, to get me through my first month!   That, along with a lot of help from my quit buddies here!!!  Keep on kicking ash and rewarding yourself daily!  You're doing great!!!

SR, way to go! 30 days/one month is fantastic! I remember that milestone as being so instrumental. I think anyone who has been a smoker who can go without smoking for one whole month is without a doubt well on the way to success.
Now watch those days quickly mount up behind you, remain on your guard though, and carry on your excellent work. I love the 'walking' away the craves! such a brill idea! So delighted for you.

Steelroots,

Great accomplishment. I am pleased to tell you this battle can be won. It is do-able. And you got it right--just take one day, one minute or one hour at a time. Lots of deep breaths and lots of cold water. Hang in there--I promise it does get easier.

Just tell yourself NOPE & with each batle that you win--the nicodemon weakens a bit.

Hat's off to you on your 30 days!!!!
YAY--reward time,
Deb

You should be proud! Those days add up to weeks, months, and years-- and, uh, are they hard to get. Just keeping reminding yourself that you do not want to hand any days back and reward yourself for the ones you have. Good job!

Steelroots, congrats on 30 smoke free days.  Walking is a great way to fight off the nicodemon, and this time of the year you can enjoy all of the wonderful spring smells!  Keep taking it one day at a time and you'll go far!  And please don't forget about a wonderful reward to celebrate this milestone, you've earned it!

steelroots Yay for you ! One month smoke-free is awesome. Your husband is right that walking is better than  " smoking yourself to death ". You're walking yourself to more and a better quality life. breather
