Day 2

Hi Ladyisnicotinefree,

Congratulations on being quit for 3 days! By far, your first smoke-free week is the most difficult. Our Support Group members call the first week of quitting “hell week because that’s when withdrawal symptoms are their strongest. As a smoker, you’ve spent a large part of your waking hours feeding your body nicotine, so when you stop the feeding, your body craves what it misses. During your first smoke-free week your withdrawal symptoms (and cravings) may, at times, seem almost unbearable. However it’s extremely important for you to realize that these symptoms do, and will, taper off.

Strive forward and lean on us for support!

Lady, glad you didn't buy any cigarettes at the store.  Always remember N.O.P.E., not one puff ever!!!  That nicodemon sure is a cleaver creature, but you can outsmart him!  One day at a time, you'll go far!

Hello Lady  Keep doing the do things. You know what worked for you to make it to 8 months. Stay away from the temptations until you're sure of yourself. Any smoker that can refrain from smoking for 1 day is amazing in my opinion. Yay for you ! Excellent breather

Telling that demon no is already paying off. You are still smoke-free and will remain so as long as you do not smoke. I know you can quit for a life time. This is it. You know what it is like to smoke and what it is like to be smoke-free. So there are no mysteries. Straight up choice here. Which do you prefer? Stick with the winners.

Hello fellow quitters and it is day #2 for me. I am so grateful that the worst part of this journey is almost over with. I am very grateful that this forum is here to express myself on. I have posted on there twice and noone has answered at least here I get feedback. Today earlier it was very hard for me, I was at the store getting ready to go in and buy ciggarettes but, thinking about SSC and the people that rely to me I didn't want to change my quit date AGAIN. Plus, I can't do that especially if I do not try to reach out to others and let them know how I feel. Well, Thanks for being here for me and hopefully I will see you soon.
