Hey MM!!!

CRAP!!!!   That what begins with C!!!!  I, too, am so sad to hear the news that I was most afraid of hearing !!!  I'm sure that all of the tests are going to present a good picture of what is happening, but treatment can vary a LOT between different doctors!  So, I'd also say a second opinion would be in order just you will be satisfied that the path you will be taking will be the right one for you.

Call when you need us!!! We're all here for you!

Karen, I don't know what to say.  You mean so very much to me and others.  You get in there and fight like hell and know we are fighting right along with you.  I have an extra hand, hold on to it and we will walk through this one day at a time.  I love you my dear friend.

Thank you all so much.  I cherish each and every one of you, more than you realize.
Well...the news is not good.  Not good at all.  We were prepared for the diagnosis of lymphoma, but the biopsy said, technically, small cell matasized carcinoma.  Lung cancer that has spread to the lymph nodes.  I could sit here for the next hour and tell you all of the emotions my family and  have gone through since Friday, but I'm pretty cried out right now.  I have a whole lot of appts the next few weeks.  I'm leaving for 2 appts today in just a few minutes.  I have a complete body scan and several CT scans scheduled for tomorrow to see if it has spread to the bone, brain, or anywhere else.  I'm having a port put in and begin chemo.  Family wants me to schedule appt at Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center in Nashville for a second opinion. Guess it couldn't hurt...
Preparing for an awfully big battle ahead of me and praying for a miracle.  I keep thinking of Joe Cool...  and I am scared.
I'll check in when I can.  Thanks for always being there!  I hope my own failures in keeping quit might encourage others to quit and quit for good.  I'm still quit however many days my meter says...
