About the Stats

14 years ago 0 5009 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Thanks ROCK!

I have to say that it is unbelievable that nobody has noticed that the MONDAY stats are far superior to those produced on any other day of the week!

I'll start producing the new list at the weekend using all posters to the 'TRAIN RIDE' thread. Once I've got something set up, I'll start work on the stats list. Watch this space!

I am so happy to hear that a form of stat lists is coming back.  Thanks to Mr Ed (and Pen!) for all you have done in the past with the daily quit lists!!!  You don't know how important this list is to me.  Yes, I reply back almost daily, congratulating each person reaching a milestone and reminding them to reward themselves.  But seeing my name in lights each week gives my quit credibility.  It allows me to see that I've reached a milestone, reminding me to say N.O.P.E. each day.  It remind me, Kaiser, Jim, and many others how wonderful Wednesdays are to us!  Oh, the other six days have faithful followers too!  And it allows me to congratulate my friends who reach a milestone.  Non-smokers don't realize what we go through.  Our support groups start out large, but after a month or so, our non-smoking friends get tired of us shouting our stats.  Thats the beauty of the SSC.  We are all here cheering on each other.  Whether your first quit is your final quit or you take a longer route to become smoke free, it doesn't matter.  If you reach a milestone, I will be here to cheer for you!  Because somebody here cheered for me!

I am happy to help with any database design or whatever else is needed to keep a form of quit list going.  Please let me know how I can help!

Pen,

I like the idea of a 'ticket' for the weekly train ride! I'll make a start on creating the new database next weekend.
It could show weekly stats for active quitters, including significant stats for the week ahead. Then I'll add new people as the weeks go by..
If anybody has any other ideas, please let me know!

ORINOCO - I take your point as you are new here - but I have been trying to encourage new people to sign up for a long time. You Sir, will be one of the first to be added to the new stats!

Other new Quitters - do not be afraid to sign up if you feel you may fail. In the event that this should happen and you restart your quit, I'll be very happy to alter your quit date on my database!
