Excellent !!! Congratulations on day 4 !!! You did it for four....you can do it for five.Just take it one day at a time....or sometimes its one minute at a time....but keep the faith that the longer you go the easier it's going to get....and the better your going to feel. The benefits totally outweigh anything you get out of smoking. We really are fighting for our lives here. I don't believe it to be a bad habit....I am addicted...and like a bad fever...it's going to break and you'll no longer have the desire to smoke. The smell of smoke will turn you off. Those days are coming for you....keep coming back here....and use all the tools at your desposal....it helps me so much !!!

It will get better. Don't see it as giving up anything good. Look at what you're gaining instead. That makes it less torturous. This is one of he hardest things I've done, but I don't feel in the least bit tortured this time.

sfree,

It is like torture! but the way I look at it is, imagine the torture you would go through if you continue smoking and end up seriously ill or worse....

I can't tell you how many times I have quit and started in the last 4 years, the one thing that really keeping me going this time is that I don't want to start this whole process again!

So hang in there, it has to get better!
I'm on day 6 and am not having any fun, yet...But looking forward to feeling better, smelling better and how cool is it when my grandchildren tell me how proud they are of me!
Keeping you in my prayers!

Seriously, I feel like this is torture.  I quit for a few days and start up again so now I am on day 4, and this time I have  aquit buddy-my husband so I think this will help out a lot.  Thank you for the support!  I have figured out my trigger times and it seems to be at night mostly after 9 pm.  So I am going to try and fill that time with other things now or go to bed early.  So cross your fingers, say a little prayer for me and hopefully I will kick this habit for good!

Forget anything negative about being back, especially any feelings of embarassment. Everyone here knows they are just one cigarette from being in the exact same spot so there will be no pot calling kettles things in here by gubbies.
It's kinda like we are all in a big circle holding hands for dear life and we constantly shuffle our bums along a little bit to let the next one in .
Keep talkin' and we'll keep listenin' cause you are worth it!
