Dear Marivi,

A big congrats to you, our dear dancing bee:)   I know for me the six month mark was a huge accomplishment. I felt a corner was turned and knew I would never turn back. (I do keep a deep respect for the addictive power of nicotine..however...)

I hope, you too, are feeling the intense gratitude and the full extent of the accomplshment you have made. I am so happy and proud of you

Also --doing the Happy Dance....

Thank you so much!
This has been a rollercoaster ride. I had stopped smoking, but life goes on.I'm still the same person with the same qualities and deffects, but in control of her life. Smoking didn't make my troubles go away, and the same goes to nonsmoking.
I'm learning to cope with life troubles without the cigarrette smoke veil.

I'm learning to appreciate my newly found senses of taste and smell.I'm enjoying an extra hour a day or so. I spent that time smoking.
This smoking cessation journey has brought to me unexpected benefits. One of the most important ones is all of you.
I have made new friends. I have been inspired by them, cried for them, rooted for them, and celebrated with them.

This is the first forum I have ever belonged. And I'm proud to be a member of it.We have a great goal in common: to stop killing ourselves and to get s second chance of live a healthier and longer life!

We deserve to stay smoke free. We are worth it! Each of us has a mission in this world and we shall not cut it short because of a nasty addiction. Our family, friends, and the world needs everyone of us.

I shall stay patient and alert. This is a neverending journey! I shall stay smoke free one day at a time. I'm enjoying this wonderful experience. I do appreciate and cherish my quit. I protect it at all cost, and I will keep doing it.

I know I'm stronger now.I have the strenght of all of you.Sinergy is a great aid in this process.I'm also trying to pay it forward. This helps to reinforce my quit.

I do want to thank everyone of you for your inspiring words, for staying here, for giving your hand when is mostly needed. I can't ever repay that.

For the newbies I can say that It does gets better.I'm celebrating every day of it.Those smoking toughts come and visit me less frequently and with less intensity.I embrace them. I know they are chances to deprogram my smoking brain. And a chance to stay in charge of my life.

And If I feel tempted, I just remember what Hell and Heck Week felt like. And sanity comes back in a second.
I guess this is to much rambling, but I needed to get it out.
Have a great evening, and thank you with all my heart!
Big Hugs
Marivi
