Glad I'm wearing armour as I entered this forum!
This is a dangerous group!  Glad you pulled through, X.  How about an ice pack for all those bumps and bruises?

Thanks everyone!

This is why I keep on coming back to this website as everyone pulls together as a family and stops the nicodemons in there tracks. I appreciate all of the feedback and helpful caring thoughts as everyone pulled me out of my pickle funk. I understand this will go down in history and people will be talking about the pickle incident for years to come. Actually, I am going to change my name to ((PickleMadness09)) that way it is official and in case of copyright reasons....((Laughing))...

Time for bed, and time to start another day of a smoke Free lifestyle....

THANKS AGAIN....EVERYONE

Well I just had to read your pickle post.  I think Rock is right.  There was something wrong with those pickles, and those chips.  I'm sure you'll read in the news tomorrow that they were recalled for ebolasalmonillaitis.  Thank God you are safe.  Hang in there.  Don't go back cause I can tell you it isn't worth it.  Imagine the pain you feel right now and times it by 10.....

Plus, even if you don't read about poisened pickles and chips tomorrow, you are guarenteed to read/hear about another person dying from this addiction.

hugs for you..... keep writing if it's not getting better.

Hi Xtremest...I am fairly new here and have yet to stop smoking myself....But through my test run I had a few weeks ago I found out how hard it is going to be and look at you with 134 days smoke free behind you...You sure wouldn't wanna have to start all over now..Just remember how bad those two first weeks was...Yeah they was awful huh...I do understand the stress as I am a stay at home mom to three girls ages 13,7,and 3...So I know how bad some days can be and how stupid things like spilled pickles and chips can send you running for a stress relief...Be proud that you came here and not to a cigarette...Stay strong and keep saying NOPE..

Is the ice cream ok?  The pickles dropped and smashed and the chips are all over the floor, but you said your main objective was to eat ice cream?  Maybe the bottom line tonight is that you cannot let pickles and chips take the place of ice cream?  I truly believe the sign was not for you to smoke, but not to eat pickles and chips.  Angel = ice cream!  Devil = pickles.

P.S.  I'm glad you posted.  I hope this counts as post #5 to keep you from smoking!  Oh, those 134 smoke free days are looking great on ya!  Tell the nicodemon to go eat pickles!

Yep! I agree....

Thanks!!!

I have already ate 2 ice cream cones and drank 3 glasses of ice cold water and feeling better already. Although, I must control my temper and not get so worried about the stupid stuff that happens and then say I should start smoking again...

Any advise??? Any Shrinks in the room..... laughing.....

xtremest,

Sorry to hear that you are experiencing some pretty tough cravings. You have done the right thing by posting here instead of reaching for that cigarette.

You have also received a lot of great advice from other members here. Stay strong and know that soon these cravings will pass and you will remain a non-smoker and continue on with your healthy lifestyle.

Keep up the great work and let us know how things are going for you!
