Topic: Myth or Fact?

14 years ago 0 1904 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I have to admit that if I could just smoke a pack a week I would. Even though nicotine is addictive for most people, it is not for everyone. Plus, nicotine isn't the ingredient in cigarettes that kill. Sorry to burst anyone's bubble, but the reason I'm quitting is that smoking controls me and at the rate at which I smoke, I will die of a smoking related illness.

My Milage:

My Quit Date: 5/1/2009
Smoke-Free Days: 48
Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,296
Amount Saved: $486.00
Life Gained:
Days: 5 Hrs: 7 Mins: 14 Seconds: 45

Members,

Myth: Smoking only a few cigarettes a day is okay.

Fact: Because every cigarette contains 1 to 2 milligrams of nicotine, smoking isn't safe even if you're smoking one cigarette a day. The nicotine reaches the brain 10 seconds after inhaling.
