oh smiley faces Ron..... thank you!

Remembering to put the ego aside should be an everyday practice.  The ego loves to hook up to the nicodemon.  Together, they love to tell us all of the reasons why we deserve a smoke.  That was a beautiful post and reinforced reconnection....

I'm not only 4 weeks, but now one month!

I read once, and believe, that the secret to happiness is relishing what we already have.  No more, no less.  I'm still feeling grateful.  My big son is home from college, my little son is so happy to see him, and I'm so happy to spend time with both of them....

And I also got to feel the earth between my little toes.  I hung a birdfeeder that drew birds I've never seen before (which launched a new interest).  All I do now seems to be the antithesis of smoking.

To everyone new, change all that you don't like, and adopt all of those things that you wish you had always done.  Reward yourselves with something new, appreciate each day, grab ahold of everyone here because they really can show you the way, and appreciate life instead of feeling bad about what you are losing.  You are really not losing anything, but it doesn't feel like that at first.

I have gained so much....
deborah
