Thanks for all your support, I am finishing up day 3, getting ready for bed. Still smoke free. Peteg, I seem to remember your name, but I don't think we communicated back then. Sparky, glad I could catch a ride with you on the wagon, maybe we can keep each other onboard. Penitent, I'm going for the Royal Flush this time, no holding back. I just want to say thanks to everyone for your kind words, I love this place, its the best when it comes to a support group. I'll keep you all posted, and try to read up and see how everyone is doing.

Hey PB, welcome back!  We should know each other, as I think we were both involved with quits at about the same time, but I gotta admit, your name doesn't ring any bells.  I was buds with a guy called "Dunedad," and there was this this woman with a fairy graphic (I know you know who I mean), but her name escapes me.
We should figure out how to stage a reunion, huh??

Hi PB
Congratulations! You already know what to do! Wow, 6 months smoke free. Nobody can take you away that. Lets say that you are resumming your nonsmoker life.
So hang on, ddep breathing is a great tool. I use to deep breathe 5 consecutive times and hold it as much as I could. You felt oxigen deprived, like when you are smoking, lol. That was good for me too, besides all the usuals like the water, the rest, the hotshowers, the local snacks, the relaxing music, and so on.
Keep your focus and stayed commited. Nonsmoking should be a nonnegotiable decision for you!!
Hang on buddy
You will receive wonderful advice from the great counselors at this site and from really nice and caring people.
We are a quitting family!
Welcome
Marivi

Hey PB, Welcome back.........I don't remember you from before, I'm Dasiegrl. I've quit abt 10 times now, who's counting, and I blew my last quit which was 6 mo. alse. For the lame excuse I had a really stressful issue to deal with. Well needless to say, this gals gotta find another way to deal with issues!! Plus it's unreal what you have to pay for them since this last gov increase, or whatever it is. WOW!! I'm amazed that anyone cxan do this cold turkey. I've smoked for over 40 yrs and I'm really addicted and I'm using patches to do it gradually, but it worked before. Just have to be tough once more and stick to it!! Good luck to you in your quittin, keep in touch!!!   Dasie

PB, welcome back!  You know the drill!  Preparation is key, so make sure you are prepared for whatever the nicodemon throws your way.  Go through "My Program" so going cold turkey will go smoothly!  I also went cold turkey, relying heavily upon SSC.  Drink lots of iced water.  Read, read, and read some more!  Please feel free to lean on us as much as you need.  We're all rooting for your success!
