I am feeling a little better today.  I realized as I  was blow drying my hair this morning that I hadn't spent 5-10 minutes this morning  hacking and coughing up gross stuff.  It was a great feeling to be free of that.

Better today than yesterday.  Believe, I understand you wanting to find one, just one please.  Just one won't hurt, just one please.  No one will know, just one please.  Doesn't work, sorry.  I know I am the Queen of just one that leads to two, then to three and then a new quit date.  I have done this over and over and you know what I get?  I get to do "hell" and "heck" week all over.  Finding one is now answer, it is a nightmare waiting to happen.

Guess what I got in the mail today?  More cigarette coupons  They are gone.  New taxes today, sure glad I quit, can't afford them nor can I afford bad health.

Hope everyone's day was good.  Be kind to yourselves.  How about a nice little treat tonight?  Hum, what will it be?

Keep the Quit
Sparky

Hi and welcome believe

It does get easier.....Heck week is not as bad but you need to change your routines.....sit in different chairs, eat at different times.....all help to fool the addict.
Rest and drink lots of fluids just like having the flu.
Never give up.....the prize is too good......
You can do this.........
huggggggs

Believe,

If you got through hell week, you can get through heck week!

Our Support Group members call the second smoke-free week ’heck week’because the withdrawal symptoms and cravings are not as severe as they are during ‘hell week.’

However, during this second week you might feel ‘tired of fighting’ the withdrawal symptoms and cravings. It’s important for you to measure the difference between feeling tired of fighting withdrawal symptoms, and their actual level of severity. After you set your quit date we begin to have you fill out your Cravings Diary. Your Cravings Diary (located in your Glove Compartment), has been designed to allow you to actually see how your withdrawal symptoms and cravings decrease.

By seeing how cravings decrease the diary will help you visualize the difference between cravings and feeling tired of fighting. Make sure to use your Craving’s Diary each day for the first few months of your quit.

It’s also important to realize that each quitter experiences different withdrawal symptoms - yours will be unique. Although they may be unpleasant, they do and will pass. When you experience withdrawal symptoms and cravings, remind yourself that each symptom is a sign of recovery. Your body is healing itself and is learning how to live nicotine.

If you have a withdrawal symptom that persists or seems worse than you expected, you should immediately consult a doctor. It’s possible that your tobacco use has masked the symptoms of some other illness, and when you quit these symptoms may abruptly become noticeable.

Believe you can do this!

It's been 7 days for me and am I still hoping I will find a lost one in my car or house.  Thinking just 1 won't hurt.  But I  definitely don't want to buy a pack and I  don't want to start all over.  The voices  go back and forth.  It is quite amazing.  I think they are becoming more insistent because they realize I am serious. I shall keep repeating  I am not a smoker.  I am not a smoker.    Does it get easier after heck week?   Hell week is pretty hard.
