Hmmm.....

More to the story....

Okay, so when I drove off and broke the gas pump off, I heard this tiny little noise, and felt a tiny pull on my car.  So I backed up.  As I was backing up, my very good friend came running up yelling, "stop! don't back up!"  He's also the owner of the gas station, and not only had destroyed the pump, but I ran over it too.

oh, lordy.

So, just to make the story more fun... I also had just recently gotten new car insurance-- All State.  I have never ever been in an accident, or had a claim.... so I had really great rates and super good coverage.

I had signed up for automatic deductions... blah blah blah.  Boring stuff unless you need it.

When I called in later (cause I couldn't find the info in my car), All State had never heard of me.  And when I called the All State office where I had bought it, there was no longer a phone connection.....

While I was working on my conspiracy theories, and looking at my checking account wth all of the deductions for my car insurance................................................

I realized that I am with State Farm.

It really was one of those days I worry about my brain!  2 weeks non-smoking.....

2 weeks and one day.  I'm going to go eat brownies.

Hey Deb, Good going making it through the two most painful weeks in ex smoking history, and what a funny ending it was.  Hope you caught that one on tape.. I would love to watch in on YouTube called "the crazy things that can happen when you quit smoking".  Anyway it sounds like you survived with all in tact and with a  good attitude going forward and all portending to
to your continued success.
Bravo,
Ron

Oh oh...hope it didn't cause any damage.

You're not alone in driving off with a pump   My sister in law did that once about 20 years ago and she wasn't in a quit-foggy-day when it happened.  It cost over $200.00 to have everything cleaned up and the pump fixed.

Enjoy your spring cleaning and the nice fresh air!

Hooray!  Thanks everyone!

Guess what I did on my 14th day?

I managed to drive off from the gas pump with the gas pumper still attached to the car!  Pulled it right out of the socket, I did.

whoops....

Other than that mess, it's a good day!  Smoke-free and busy spring cleaning.
You are all the best.
