Welcome Nikita! My best advice to you is read read read everything you can on this site. Do the program to help you learn about your unique quit, but read all the old posts too. There is so much eye opening information here, and it teaches you alot about what to expect, how you will feel, what we have all gone through etc etc.
Find some motivational self talk to help get you through hard days,  along with candy straws, cold water and yes chocolate. Be prepared that quitting might cause you to be a bit depressed.(I think that's what stopped me a few times,) but when I knew about it, I was ready for it. (Vitamin B complex and B12 help muchly with that!)
If you stick around here you will find these wonderful quitters will be instrumental in helping you quit. Find some quit buddies to hang with and you will be fine.
One day at a time, Not One Puff Ever (NOPE!)

Hi Nikita
The first four days are the worst; so hang on; try to sleep as much as you can and drink plenty of iced water; it helps a lot; grab a soft ball if you need to have something in your hands and try to relax with soft music.
Remember, this inconviniences pave the road for a great acomplishment; so please visit this site and post as often as needed(it has helped me a lot) and know for sure that here you have a support group that wants you and everybody to succed.
Welcome
Marivi

Great decision, Nikita!!!!!  Two more days gets you thru Hell Week.....It really does get better.  Easier is a bit of a stretch.....This is hard work.  But with your committment and a whole group of people here who know EXACTLY how you feel and what you're going through is so valuable.  Keep up the good work and post your thoughts and concerns often......and celebrate every minute, hour and day that you are smoke free!!!!!!!  What a joyful journey we are on!

Dave

Nikita, welcome to the SSC!  You're doing great with 5 days smoke free!  Angie gave you some good advice!  You should also add your stats to your postings under "my profile" so you can see your progress!  Make sure you have your reward system in place to celebrate each passed craving, each non-smoking day, and each non-smoking week.  As you've seen from reading prior posts, we love to celebrate milestones here!  Chocolate is a good reward as I had a super secret belgium chocolate reward day back in December!  Eat dark chocolate so you get a health benefit!  :)  With Valentine's Day this weekend, flowers are a good thing too!  Read, read, and read some more.  Post as often as you need, if even just to vent!  We're all rooting for your continued success!

Nikita you came to the right place!  Make sure you work "my program" and stay prepared.  Read and post a lot.  I'm still stuck to this site like glue.  You can do this!  We're rooting for you and Hell Week's almost over!!!  Make sure you're rewarding yourself.  I hope you get your flowers too!

Reading what many of you have to say of the struggles and small triumphs has really helped me these last two days! Its been one hell of a week so far, and I'm worried about the weekend. So far chocolate has been getting me through, but I hope I get flowers instead this year. (maybe I'll be able to smell them now!) Anyway, I'm here in the same boat as many others and I look forward to sharing with all of you!
