Thanks everyone Doing good today. I have a basket full of towels to fold and a kitchen to clean lol. Should keep me busy for a few hrs plus the baby. I did reward myself by taking 20 min when the baby was napping to read my book that I am trying to get through. Plus for my week reward I bought some new body wash and shampoo and conditioner. They smell heavenly. And remind me that I smell this good cuz I haven't smoked. Sometimes at work when I think about cigerettes I will just smell my hair to remind myself that being a non smoker is better. Corny but it works! And now that I don't smoke I can take extra time in the shower which I love! No more making time to smoke, my time is my own. Well thanks again, keep on with the quit! ~Valic

Congratulations Valic on making it through the crave, I had a slight one yesterday, but know a cigarette will just make things worse not better. Mr Q said something about smoking being like the flu and that helped me through.
Keep up the good work.
Luv lola

Valic - so glad to hear you made it through.  Posting here really helps doesn't it?  We have to use any tool in our arsenal.  Distraction, computer, ice cream sundaes!  You did a great job and should be really proud of yourself.
Keep the quit!

Yea,  good for you.  Keep it up keep fighting we all need to stick together and help each other.  So stay with us and we will get through it all together.  Take it one crave at a time and beat it.  Keep busy and try not to think about cigarettes.  And yes posting here does distract and help.

Valic, isn't it great to look the nicodemon in the face and say "No Way Jose!!!"  He will throw stress and situations at you hoping that you will give in.  How wonderful it was that your threw out all lighters and empty cigarette packs so there was nothing to tempt you.  You did good!  Keep finding things to keep you occupied!  I remember from early in my quit that I would spend an hour perfecting a post to this site just so I could focus on what I was trying to say so I wouldn't focus on a craving!  You're a few days away from surviving Heck Week, and you're doing great!  And if he comes back at you again with crazy cravings, spend 2 hours perfecting a posting here at SSC!  :)  We're all rooting for your continued success!
