Hello Karren Yes I felt terrible when I got up. The day's starting to be more in perspective now though. Back on track. An early congratulations on 250 days tomorrow. N.O.P.E. breather 64 Addict 0

breather,

This is normal and can sometimes take you for a spin!  You have 64 days and no-one can take this away from you!  Do relaxation techniques before bed, take a walk or enjoy a romantic evening.  This can help you relax before bed and ease you into sleep.

Hey Breather, you'll be pleased to know there is quite a few of us on here who have had those smoking dreams. My husband had them from the start and I never did...until later and then I had one, I actually woke feeling very down, I was convinced I had broken my quit, the dream was so very real, I could smell it and even taste it- but hey...it was just that.. a dream!

Hi Breather - you're definitely not alone.  I mentioned in a post ages ago, that as far as I go, my quit will always be fragile, and I need to guard it all the time. After all, I'm an addict, so I can never let my guard down.  Even at over a year, I still wait for the demon to jump out when I least expect it.

I'm glad the last few weeks have been easier on you.  Eye on the prize, it just keeps getting better!

Hi Jazz It's good to know that I'm not alone. Thank you for your input. It just goes to show how incidious and sick this addiction is when you're " attacked " at the subconcious level and in your weakest moments. Looks like the nicodemon has stooped to new lows this time. It seems that if the demon can't win fairly it will play unfairly , but who said anything was fair. I think it will try to win any way possible and I'll need to " guard the quit ". I see this as just another test now that I really think about it. The last week or so has been the best yet as far as cravings go so I figured it was about time to get blindsided anyway. I need to never become complacent and forget where I came from or I can be back there right quick. A sense of humour is a must. breather 64 Addict still 0

Hey Breather, isn't that the most horrible feeling ever?  You wake up feeling so guilty, thinking you smell, thinking you blew your quit.  And you're right, those dreams are so vivid.  It happened to me a couple of times, and it wasn't easy convincing myelf that I didn't actually smoke.  But.....look around...there's no butt on your floor, right?....smell your hands - nice and clean, right?....all it was was a dream (or a nightmare if you prefer).  You're doing great, really kicking the addict around.  It was only a bad dream, and your day will get better.  Smile, it's contagious!

I was dreaming of smoking last night. It isn't the first time this has happened. Not just dreaming that I'd like to but actually doing the deed. So I'm starting to wake up and I'm going through all the guilt and anxiety emotions as if it had really happened. Feeling like a hippocrit for something I didn't do. Not a good start to the day but I'm sure it will get better. I wouldn't think this worthy of mention except that it's so real , so vivid , so all encompassing. I would imagine that I'm not the first person to have this happen. I feel like I'm in Hell week again this morning. Has this happened to you ?? Let me out of here !!! I didn't do it , honest !! breather 64 Addict 0
