Hi Angie!!!

Welcome back!!!    I know it's going to be hard for you this evening, but do whatever it takes to protect your quit!   It may help to announce to everyone that you have quit again and ask for their support!!   Maybe they'll reduce their consumption this evening or even go outside to smoke just for you, but I doubt it!!!  At least you'll be able to excuse yourself from the room at times if it gets to be too much for you and at least they'll know the reason!  You might be surprised...  maybe this time you might be an inspiration for other family members and they think about starting the journey to freedom, too!

Anyways, keep those coping strategies close....  deep breathing (clean air, of course!), gum, ice water...  whatever it takes!  Then when you get home take a shower and change your clothes!!!

     Post when you need us!!

Angie, welcome back to SSC!  You know what works, you know what doesn't work, and I hope that this is your final quit!  Good luck at your mom's tonight.  Can you go outside if they smoke in side?  Or visa versa?  Or just go into another room?  I know you can do it!  Post often, read prior postings, ask for help.  We're all here rooting that this time this is your final quit!  N(ot) O(ne) P(uff) E(ver) !!!

Hello everyone.  My name is Angie and I am currently on my third day being smokefree.  I quit in the past for nearly two years but gave it all up when I went out drinking after my son was born.  Here I am again giving it another shot.  I used this site the last time I quit and it really helped me, so I will be using it again.

The first day I quit it was easy!  I knew it would hit me eventually and it did the very next day.  That night was horrible but I made it!  Today seems to be going a lot better for me and I hope the day continues to go like this.  Tonight will be hard though cuz I have to go by my moms and everyone there smokes!  Wish me some luck cuz I know I am going to need it!

Hope everyone is having a good day today!

Smoke-Free Days: 3
Cigarettes Not Smoked: 60
Amount Saved: $15.00
