Hi Jenn
I too have just come through a tough withdrawal from Effexor XR -I was only on 150mgs (for 4 years) and withdrew gradually from it (over 6 weeks.).The drug worked well but other probs, so hence the withdrawal. As a result of coming off it I have become hypo-manic and my hubbie is really concerned, as is my doc. However I rang the drug company (Wyeth - here in Australia) and they explained that the hypo is a common side-effect as can be nausea; headaches etc. I felt relieved but am unsure how long it will last for. It is a very difficult drug to reduce/withdraw from. Take care and good luck. I was hoping tp try Cymbalta, but we don't have it over here.
