The smell of a cig while someone is smoking

Well, I made it through the night.  Yeah I did it but dang I honestly wanted one last night.  I definitely know I dont want to smell like stale smoke but the smell of a lit one will knock one on their feet.  Kind of sad also that this lady also was blowing it my way.  I dont know if it was on purpose or the way she always smoked.  If it was on purpose its because she knows she is literally the ONLY one smoking now in our townhome complex.  There are quite a few that live there that have quit over the past two years and well, maybe it was her last effort to have a smoking buddy.  I dont want to end up like her either. She is a chain smoker and has had heart surgery, has diabetes and a ton other health problems but refuses to give up the smoke due to "stress".  I've used that excuse so many times and it never solved anything.

Anyways, thanks for the encouragement.  Not sure why I''m a little down today especially after that but it drained me mentally to fight the urge.  Have a wonderful NON smoking day!

Kasi

Careful about bargaining with the adddiction!! It'll get you......NOWHERE... But you know, you fought it off and that's great. It shows that you CAN do this. Don't be afraid, you just have to show that nicodemon that you're the boss now! Get mad!   Hang in there, you're doing this and it will get easier...Promise.

hi there!
You have a great quit going and you SAVED it big time tonight! Congratulations!!!!
It must have been hard but you did it.

I sure know what you mean!
Right after I quit smoking, I had to go to a wood working shop for some repairs. That guy was
old world gentleman who made me coffee while he smoked some very serious looking
cigarettes... chain smoking right at me. I was in a rough spot but hung on.  I almost asked him for a cigarette
just to have one. Like that would have been fun. NOT.
Almost blew it but didn't.

 YOU DID GREAT!!!!! Congrats...
you saved all your hard work.

THIS SUCKS.  Whew, said it.  I went over to my neighbors house, the one I've been avoiding since I started this journey because she quits.  She was outside and well, smoking and usually I am discusted but oh wow, I was very close I made up some excuse to come home after about 10 minutes.  I was starting to bargain with myself that I could ask her for a couple to take with me and smoke whenever.  Yeah like that would work.  Then I thought about tomorrow morning, that run to the store, the hiding the smell from co-workers and going back to step one.  It wasn't worth it.  So I did come home and now I"m here because well, it is still there lurking and the bad demon I'm a little afraid of.  BUT I'm still here beforehand.  And no, it doesn't suck, it would've sucked if I had smoked or even one puff.  but I can proudly say I walked away - barely but I still walked
