I kept a bottle of water with me.. cold is better, but couldn't always have it icy cold. When I had a crave I took a drink of water. Ok some days I sloshed.. and I'm sure you could here me coming... slosh, slosh, slosh.
Well it does help to flush the toxins out also.
Hi Patrick..(buddy)
I am doing well... The garden is a little slow.. and I didn't plant much this yr.. the tomato plans are growing quite well and loads of flowers... a few small tomatoes starting
ALSO did you know, you can kill or give tomato plant a disease if you touch it with nicotine on your hands...
maybe that is Why my plants are doing so well this year... NO black spots or witthered leaves.
my menagerie are all fat and happy.... we have had no rain in almost 2 weeks, some showers expected.. Yes we have oly hit 80 a few days.. but I am NOT complaining mid 70*s temp is just perfect for me.

I'm doing well Karren. Thanks for the suggestions bj. Today is the last day of Hell Week and I am so looking to tomorrow. I am working today and that is one of the places I used to smoke and my only co-worker still smokes. He asked how "it" was going this morning before stepping outside to light up. I have encouraged him to stop smoking and even e-mailed him the link to this website. He will in his own time. I just hope for his sake it is soon.

Bonnie, how are you? And how is that beautiful garden of yours? And the little menagerie? Good to see you posting so often these days...wouldn't be because of the wettest June/July in Canada, would it??!! Hugs to you...

Hi Fr8 hope you are doing well.. Prepare for the weekend. cut some straws to cigarette length. you can take some deep clean air threw the straw if you need to ......
I tried to stay away from ... some of the triggers that I could.. but .. life happens.. and we were so ingrained for reaching.
cut up some index cards to the size of a pack ... carry them where you had your pack.. then you can reach and read or write down some notes.. and poof the crave is gone, because you are distracted.

Good for you Fr8!! Now you know that a cig will only make you feel worse, not better. Use it as a learning tool, I am sure that a good fair share of us (including me) have quit and slipped. I know how you felt, I beat myself up so bad for almost a month, but I really did learn from it. You are doing great, keep it up.
