Darn, you mean I have to use a non human punching bag?  I have an ex I could've used.  Oh well, I do love the idea of breaking dishes from a dollar store.  Great way to filter anger or frustration.  the grumpiness is gone, and may be gone for good or may show up - who knows. I was wondering if it was my age (some females know the midlife change) but figured it had to be nic trying its hardest to wiggle back in.  I'm starting to enjoy my back porch without thinking of smoking.  I'm sick of sunflower seeds lol and am going to look for some other way to make it to work without road rage and sunflower seeds.  That was my biggest adjustment was the not smoking when I got into my car. I lit up every time, even if I was driving down the street.  Addiction really didn't look pretty then.  Does anyone keep their mouths and hands busy while driving?  A bunch of us with our kids are going to a festival all day saturday and I'm sooooooooooooo looking forward to it because when someone would light up, they would get the "evil" look from non smokers. Kind of funny now that I look back.  I was miserable but now can enjoy it for once. I'm still taking it 1 hour at a time (yep, went from 5 minutes to one hour and will go back to 5 minutes when or if I ever need too).  Baby steps as someone had told me once.

I STILL cant believe how many cigs I haven't smoked and how much money I've saved.  Its so unbelievable how much a person will throw away with nothing but bad lungs to show for it.

You mean there are others like me???

On certain days of the week I'm a fellow grump!  Some weeks its Mon, Tues & Wed, and by Thursday I force myself to have an attitude adjustment and re-join the human race.  I have said on many occasions, I can't find one good reason why my husband hasn't left me yet because I've been alot less than nice.
Then the following week, its starts all over again, but this time maybe its 2 days instead of three.

Little by little it gets better, some weeks better than others, BUT rest assured, it is perfectly normal.   I think the demon will do ANYTHING to try to get you to cave in.  Stay strong ....It WILL get easier.

don't forget.....we CAN and WILL do this!

As you can see it is normal and takes some time to pass.  The best idea I once heard was break dishes!  Old dishes or dollar store dishes, in a big box and let go!

A punching bag (not human) can also help relieve you of extra aggression.  Don't forget to relax and take that you time!

Kasi, you are totally normal.  I was on Chantix, so I didn't get too grumpy, but I cried all the time.  It was a horrible feeling.  You will get better, I promise, just hold on and lean on us, we will help you through it.

Kasi?  Grumpy?  I'm sure both apply at the moment, and its perfectly normal.  I can remember a time when my family would cringe when I walked into the room.  You could hear a pin drop.  Its funny now, but it wasn't at the time.  Just hang on to the truth that everything DOES get better with time.  Keep that quit going strong, we're here if you need us.

Cheers,

HI Grumpy.....lol   Grumpy I think is a natural feeling through this I know I got sooooooooo tired of thinking about smoking and all the "bargaining" I had to do not to smoke, it actually made me feel sick having to think about not smoking  almost constantly. but you have made it through Hell Week , a big Congratulations on that!!!!!  Just keep haging in there it really does get better and easier  smoking becomes just a quick passing thought .

Well, I've managed to have an attitude with everyone (including my dogs) and boy, I would love to just rip someone a new face.  I am happy I have 1 week down but am ticked at the world for some reason.  I'm still kicking the 'barganing thoughts" to the curb but its starting to irritate me.  Then again, even my little ones are irritating me.  I've already put them in bed so no problem there but dang, I need my grumpy attitude to take a hike.
