Beckylynn I just now saw this post I am so sorry for what you have been thru, when you are ready to quit again we will all be here reaching a hand out to you....... I'm on antidepressants and I imagine that you will be too, I truly believe that cymbalta and my mood stabilizers played a big part in helping me get this quit.  ((((((( hugs to you )))))))

beckylynn,

Please do not have any doubts about quitting cold turkey.

Discarding all the paraphernalia that can be associated with recovery from nicotine addiction is very liberating and gives one the sense of taking back control from the outset; it is good for the soul.

It can be difficult early on but the renaissance that comes with banishing enslavement instantly is a revelation which forms the cornerstone for a quit of ease, a quit of positivity and peace and a lasting quit of happiness and satisfaction.

Whatever happened recently is in the past, cast aside your props and know that you can do this the cold turkey way.

I wish you well,
Good Luck

Penitent 1,514 cold turkey days!

Thank you all soooo much for your thoughts and prayers.
I am seeing a psycologist on Friday.  I hope that I can get back to normal soon.
Just to let you all know it did not take long for the smoking to start showing signs in my system.
My sinuses started acting up the next day.  My chest feels horrible and the cough came back in about 3 days.
I feel terrible.  I am already out of breath when I walk up stairs. I am not smoking as much as I used to but it sure feels bad.
I reset my quit date to the 17th.  I can't take much more of this physical effects of smoking.  I feel like an old old woman right now physically.  I keep remembering how good I was feeling after my quit.  I went 62 days.  This time it will be for good.  And I am going to do it cold turkey.  It felt too good to be smoke free for me not to quit again.
I will stay close and again thanks to all of you.  You have become my family and I will always keep you close to me.
Love to all!

Beckylynn

Beckylnn,

I also am so very sorry to here what has happened to you but so glad to be able to write to you to tell you I know everyone here cares so much about you and we would always want to here from you. You will sort out the smoking again in your own time don’t worry too much about it just get yourself strong. Sending you lots and lots of (((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))

I hope you don’t mind but this is a mantra I say everyday and it helps me get through some tough times and just maybe you might get something from it. I sincerely hope you do

Just close your eyes and imagine a bright white light all around you and say!

I surround myself with the white light of love and divine protection

I will allow only positive thoughts and energy to affect me

I will reject the negativity of those I encounter.
