Alphabet J,

Congratulations!  1 month smoke free is a fantastic accomplishment! Have you planned any rewards for yourself?

Hi everybody!  I just thought I'd share with you all where I am at, what I am doing and (most importantly) how I am FEELING!

Having 30 days without smoking,  for the first time since the beginning of my quit I feel reflective today.  For me, since the first 24 hour victory of course, I feel a HUGE sense of "I DID IT!" I have gotten through 30 whole days without that crutch, ball and chain, heavy weight on me,  best friend (my delusion that is was!),  need always hanging over me.  I FEEL FREE!  I feel grateful, happy, and optimistic.

I am on the step 2 patch / I am drinking LOTS of water, I always have some with me /  I pray / and I maintain a very large stash of my favorite hard candies and keep it with me at all times.

I LOVE the feeling of taking a deep breath and not needing to cough or feeling that little "rattle", my skin looks a bit brighter I think, I smell good ALL day, my elbows (as weird as it might sound, lol!) look and feel 10 years younger! (anybody else notice this? My hubby has too!  Weird!! but BEAUTIFUL!) My mouth feels so much cleaner, even when I wake up in the morning, I think I can even see a little clearer?

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to ALL of you here and to the SSC, For making this journey with me!

 :)

Jen
