Yes, it does help.  Do you tolerate the cymbalta better?  The doctor thought I might tolerate that better.

Yes........what a small world.  I have spent a lot of time there.  When I was younger I used to hang out at Partner's Pub just down the road from the college.

The side effects I experienced are nausea, dizziness, sleepiness, sweating, dry mouth, gas, abnormal vision, nervousness, insomnia, extreme confusion (fuzzy brained), agitation, yawning.  I do know it should be taken during the day, if twice a day one in the morning and one no later than 2 pm. Which I did but the side effects were just too much for me.  If your experiencing any of these and they are interfering with your day, please consult your doctor.  I was only on it for 2.5 days and couldn't handle the side effects.   I hope this helps.

Hey Kelly

Breathe iinnnnnnnnnnnn..........................Breathe oouutttttttttttt.

Make sure you talk to the doc if it gets too weird.

I think i am visiting your city this summer.  When you mentioned the Trivia weekend a while back I am familiar.  I've spent a lot of time there actually.  I like the college atmosphere there.   Small World!!!!!!

Hang in there.........Maybe Nissala can share what side effects she had so you have a comparison.

Today I am starting to feel side effects from the effexor I think.  I had a terrible time sleeping last night, now I am really tired at work, I almost feel more anxious at times, I yawn all the time and I am having hot flashes.  YICK!!

Hi Kelly, glad to see you were able to get into the doc.  I am currently on Cymbalta so if you have questions, just ask.
I was on Effexor for a short period of time, but couldn't handle the side effects it gave me. I know others who take it and are doing very well on it.  Keep up the good work!!

Hi Kelly, glad to hear you finally had your appointment and looks like your doctor is trying to get you set up appropriately.  Make sure to ask lots of questions and do the research yourself on some of these drugs and the companies that produce them.  Hope they help you out.  Take care of yourself, and keep us posted!
Way to go you non smoker you!

Kelly, you'll see that after a month or two in your new job that you'll be much more relaxed and able to enjoy life to the full. You're doing Trojan work on your Self by doing what you have done already right up to this point in time... keep relaxing!

Kelly, I did therapy years ago through work and it really helped me to talk to a total stranger, he really put perspective on my situation and gave a "nugget" that really turned on a for me.

I am glad you are feeling good and pray it continues for you.
