Well it has been hell here at work, one emergency after another.   Everything is an emergency today.  I am staying busy but it seems the faster I work the more I want a cig.   This has got to stop.  I can't wait to go to lunch.  But I am afraid to leave the building.  If I go home like I usually do, I pass 2  7-11's.   Too tempting!!!!!!  I need to get this under control before then.   I could sure use a drink right now!!!!!!   Or something.

It is becoming a full blown panic attack.

I am going for a walk...........

Becky

I can say in all honesty that I have been there and you have to remember and believe that this frame of mind will pass.  It may pass in an hour, a few hours,  maybe shorter or maybe a bit longer, but you will not be where you are right now.  This addiction can  be one tough SOB to beat but it can be done.  Pen's stats speak to that.  Hang in there.

Becky!!!!

Distract yourself - now!!!!

It will pass but you must deflect your thoughts. Go for a walk, punch a pillow, drink gallons of water, phone a friend, cry, do anything but do not smoke. Believe me, it will pass and when it does you will be so proud that you didn't break.

Hang tight!!

Hang on Becky, I know how you feel, I had anxiety attacks real bad every morning when I woke up, I still do, they just aren't as severe.  Breather, really deep and focus on anything else that you can.  In and out, sit still, focus on a happy memory.  Cry if you need to.  It may take awhile, but just keep breathing slow in and slow out.

I woke up this morning feeling out of control.  Anxiety set in and the craves are horrible.
I feel like I just can't do it anymore and smoking is the only thing that will make all this go away.
I keep telling myself that that is not true but, it is not working so well.  I am trying to hang on but I am afraid that this is not one of those craves that is not going pass any time soon.  I don't feel very strong today.
Need your help!!!!!
