Kaiser--you're leading the way...and I thank you immensely for this. I've seen frequent mention of the 90--100 day crave that is difficult--hopefully this was it & it is now behind you. Congrats on beating the nicodemon--and stay strong, Deb My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/1/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 65 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,950 Amount Saved: $438.75 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 10 Mins: 57 Seconds: 32

Great advice from the members to which I can add nothing of any greater import, Kaiser... Hope that the cravings have slackened off by now and that you are free of that miasma ... Kaiser, so many of your posts have helped me... I'm still a newbie and always learning and one thing I learned was that coming here to rant, scream, yell etc. is THE best thing you can do and you did just that ! You reached out for help and look at all these people who care so much about you :) It is true, the craving just comes out of left field and it almost hurts --- BUT it does pass. I am really big on the breathing exercises, going out for a long walk, self talk and the like. Hoping at this point you are feeling better. You have a great quit going and you'll be at 90 days in 48 hrs.. HOW COOL IS THAT ? ;) We're here for you.. Ranting is what keeps me quit!!! I never want to go through hell week again. I know exactly how you feel, and it actually helps me a lot to know I'm not alone. Just hang in there...This too will pass. Kaiser, No need to say sorry for ranting on. We have all been where you are and fully understand what you are going through. It is hard to begin with, then when you get in your quit as far as you have to have a major crave like that can be disheartening. Good to hear that you got up and took a walk... good job putting those coping skills back into work!!! You are very welcome! Keep on trying! There are also quitters that look up to you! You are doing great and you can do it! Keep up the awesome work, we are right here with you! Danielle and Goofy: Thank you for your support. This giant craving came from out of nowhere. I have had craves before but not like this one. I was sitting at my desk doing my usual stuff and wham it hit me. I was even thinking of the but bucket at our back door. How sick is that. Anyhow I took a walk around and it has seemed to pass. The thought of the beach and no longer being on MR.ED's Thursday quitters list is a big deterant to picking up another cigarette. Sorry for ranting on but today I realy needed the help. Kaiser, Take some deep breaths. Take a walk and drink some ice cold water. This crave will pass. Don't give up your quit now! Smoking just one cig will put you back to the very start where you have to face hell week again. You don't want that... hang in there, this crave will pass!!!! Kaiser, Breathe in.... Breathe out..... Repeat... .again... again.... You know the drill. So many, many people lose their quit at this stage. You are like on that final hump. The last big hurdle before reaching smoother sailing. Don't turn around now. Trust me, it's much farther back than it is to keep going forward. If you go back now, you will have to begin all over again. NO WAY!!! Dont' do that to yourself. Look out to the horizone. It's calm and peaceful. Keep looking forward and never back. You know what is behind you but you can only imagine what is ahead. Those of us that have made it beyond where you are now cannot even begin to describe how much wonderful it is on this side of the quit. Keep pushing forward. Find something to distract you. You are doing great. What is your reward for making it through today? Make it a good one. One worth holding on to the quit for.
